Character mock-up

This is my latest design for the girl, she is very lanky and modest. The 2nd images are rough versions of how I wanted the armatures to work. Below are scale drawings and the proportions for my mock-up armature, that I will use for character tests. It is 30cm tall.
This scale mock up of my character is made from wire, balsa wood, Araldite glue and plastic. The feet have nuts in the bottom so I can use tie-downs to keep the armature steady, although it does stand on its own.. However I plan to make the real armature from K&S and use magnets, but I need to test the practicalities of this. I am happy with how this turned out, however she is a little bulky, which can easily be fixed by sanding it down.

Mock up of full house

I tried to start with a good layout for the house, that would flow, then when I looked at the storyboard, critical shots didn't work with the layout so I had to adjust it.
When I was happy with the layout I worked out the proportions...
and then built a rough 12th scale model... (the real one will be 6th scale)...

Window Designs:

These are some typical styles for valleys windows, I think I am going to go with something like the one in the bottom right hand corner, with the brickwork, because it is more traditional, and I want the old man to be kind-of stuck in the past, so wouldn't have newer style plastic windows. I also like the tall shape. I think this will help with scale further into the film and emphasize the narrowness of the rooms.
Above are some designs based on my research and below a photo of the sort of effect i would hope to achieve for the outside of the building, I like the roughed up style, and the way the light catches the framework and creates shadows inside.
